What is the engine piston displacement in liters of an engine who’s displacement is listed as 430 in.²
sergeinik [125]

For an engine whose displacement is listed as 430 in.², the engine piston displacement in liters is mathematically given as

PD= 7.37 L

<h3>What is the engine piston displacement in liters of an engine whose displacement is listed as 430 in.²?</h3>

Generally, the equation for the dimensional analysis method,\, we convert in to L is mathematically given as

l*(v/l)*l/v

Therefore,  piston displacement

PD=(450 in3) . (1 dm3 / 61.024 in3) . (1 L / 1 dm3)

PD= 7.37 L

In conclusion, piston displacement

PD= 7.37 L

How is heating of sugar and heating of ammonium chloride different from each other? Explain your answer.
algol13
When sugar is heated it melts and then caramelize giving of water. After this, it turns blank (carbon) and then coverts to co2 (carbon dioxide) .
So, heating of sugar is an endothermic , decomposition and oxidation reaction.
  When Ammonium Chloride is heated , it directly goes from solid state to vapour state without changing into liquid state.
So, heating of Ammonium Chloride is an example of sublimation reaction.

Part a choose the molecule or compound that exhibits dipole-dipole forces as its strongest intermolecular force. Choose the mole
mart [117]

Answer :  SO_{2} is the molecule that exhibit dipole-dipole forces as its strongest intermolecular force.

Explanation : The shape or geometry of given molecules of N_{2}, H_{2}, CBr_{4}, BCl_{3} and SO_{2} are linear, linear, tetrahedral, trigonal planar and angular respectively.

The given molecules N_{2}, H_{2}, CBr_{4}, BCl_{3} are symmetrical molecules. These symmetric molecules cannot exists as dipole even they contain polar bonds. Thus, these molecules will not exhibit dipole-dipole forces.

SO_{2} molecule has polar bonds and unsymmetrical bonds as shown in attached image. This molecule cannot exhibit H-bonding. It exhibit only dipole-dipole forces.

Therefore, SO_{2} molecule exhibit dipole-dipole forces as strongest intermolecular force.

What should be done if particles of precipitate appear in the filtrate?
Volgvan
<span>The instructor should be questioned to see if the filtrate is able to be recycled. This precipitate can contaminate the filtrate, rendering it useless for repeated experiments. If it is able to be recycled, a second pass through the filter might be required to remove the precipitate.</span>
