Gerard concluded that the triangle with sides StartRoot 95 EndRoot feet, 8 feet, and StartRoot 150 EndRoot cannot be used as a b

uilding frame support on the house because it is not a right triangle. How did Gerard come to that conclusion? Explain.
ANSWER: Gerard came to that conclusion because 95 + 8 equals 159. In order for the triangle to be a right triangle the sum of the two shorter lengths must equal the length of the hypotenuse. 150 does not equal 159.

Simplify 2√2-√3<br> ---------------<br> √2+√3
serious [3.7K]

Step-by-step explanation:

=  \frac{2 \sqrt{2}   -  \sqrt{3} }{ \sqrt{2} +  \sqrt{3}  }

=  \frac{2 \sqrt{2} -  \sqrt{3}  }{ \sqrt{2} +  \sqrt{3}  }  \times  \frac{ \sqrt{2} -  \sqrt{3}  }{ \sqrt{2} -  \sqrt{3}  }

= \frac{ 2( \sqrt{2}  -  \sqrt{3} )( \sqrt{2}  -  \sqrt{3} )}{ { \sqrt{2} }^{2} -  { \sqrt{3} }^{2}  }

=  \frac{2(2 -  \sqrt{6}  -  \sqrt{6} - 3) }{2 - 3}

=  \frac{2( - 1 - 2 \sqrt{6} )}{ - 1}

=  \frac{ - 2(1 + 2 \sqrt{6} )}{ - 1}

= 2(1 + 2 \sqrt{6} )

= 2 + 4 \sqrt{6}

What is the range of the function g(x) = [X – 12 – 2? o tyy-2) OVY 2-2) Oviy&gt; 12) O y 2 12)
oksano4ka [1.4K]

The range of the function is: \{y | y \ge -2 \}

<h3>What is the range of a function?</h3>

The range of a function is the set of output values the function can take

The function is given as:

g(x) = |x - 12| -2

The above function is an absolute value function;

And it is represented as:

g(x) = a|x - h| + b

When a is positive, then the range of the function is:

y \ge b

By comparison, we have:

a =1

b = -2

Hence, the range of the function is: \{y | y \ge -2 \}
