This is a fun one.

So let me show you an example,

say we ask the question, 8 is what percent of 32. We can throw these into an equation that looks lime this. X/100=Y/Z, X in this case is 32 because it is the full 100% and we want to find what percent Y (8) is of it. Basically solving for Z.

So plugging in the numbers,

32/100=8/Z cross multiply, 800=32z in this problem we get that 8 is 25% of 32.

That value makes sense so it must be correct. Let me know if you're still confused.

In order to find a percentage, you divide the sample by the total amount.

For example: Tess has 3 cookies out of the total amount of 9. 3/9 = 33.3%

The volume V of a cube with sides of length x inches is changing with respect to time t (in seconds). When the sides of the cube
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

dV/dt = 3×10^2 × 0.5 = 150 in^3/sec

the volume of the cube is increasing at 150in^3/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume V = length l^3

V = x^3

Differentiating both sides;

dV/dt = 3x^2 dv/dt

Given;

x = 10 in

dx/dt = 0.5 in/sec

dV/dt = 3×10^2 × 0.5 = 150 in^3/sec

the volume of the cube is increasing at 150in^3/sec

Given that g(x)=2x^2-5. Calculate g(x+4)+2
Dimas [21]

Answer:

2x^2+16x+29

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

g(x)=2x^2-5

We need to find g(x+4)+2

g(x+4)=2(x+4)^2-5\\\\=2(x^2+16+8x)-5\\\\=2x^2+32+16x-5\\\\=2x^2+16x+27

Now,

g(x+4)+2=2x^2+16x+27+2\\\\=2x^2+16x+29

So, the value of g(x+4)+2 is  2x^2+16x+29

A kite is 14 ft off the ground and a horizontal distnace of 29 feet awat from you what is the angle measure of x
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

28.9°

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a Trigonometry question

From the above, question,

The horizontal distance = Adjacent = 29 feet

The distance of the kite from the ground = Opposite= 14 feet

We solve using the Trigonometric function of Sine

sin θ = Opposite/Adjacent

sin θ = 14/29

θ = arc sin (14/29)

θ = 28.865727415°

Approximately = 28.9°

Therefore, the angle measure of x = 28.9°
