Mathematics

Okay so starting off I get that this math can be really confusing but you’ll get it if you keep working at it. Don’t give up you got this. For part it it is asking for the volume in cubic feet to do this you multiple H•W•L

H=hight

W=Width

L=Length

Now you don’t really need to know exactly which side is the H,L, or W but since you only have 3 sides with domentions you know that you multiply all three sides now it doesn’t matter what order you do it in.

Please respond if this helped for part A. You got this keep your head up.

olchik [2.2K]
T= 2

Explanation:

Since this equation has a positive answer u will have to take away.

So 8-2 which is 6. Since the answer gives us a 4. We do 6-4 which is 2. And bc of this answer it proves that t is 2.

Hope this helps!

Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

-5 coach tickets

-8 first class tickets

Step-by-step explanation:

let x be the number of coach tickets and y the number of first class tickets:

x+y=13\ \ \ \ \  \ ...i

Given that coach tickets costs $260 each, and first class tickets $1080 and that the total fare budget was $9940:

260x+1080y=9940\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ ...ii

#From equation i, make  x the subject of the formula:

x=13-y

#Substitute x in ii;

260x+1080y=9940\\\\260(13-y)+1080y=9940\\\\3380-260y+1080y=9940\\\\820y=6560\\\\y=8\\\\x=13-y\\\\\therefore x=13-8=5

Hence, Sarah bought 5 coach tickets and 8 first class tickets.
