That’s not a division symbol, it’s a sum, but assuming you meat to put the division symbol, 18 would be the dividend

How is the process of dividing integers similar to the process of multiplying integers? Select your answer from the drop drown m
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

In both cases, if the signs of the initial numbers are the same, the answer will be positive. If the signs are different, the answer will be negative

Step-by-step explanation:

Required

Signs of results of multiplication and division

If two non-zero numbers have the same sign, and they are multiplied together, the end result will be positive.

For instance:

2 * 4 = 8

2 and 4 are positive; so, 8 is positive

-2 * -4 = 8

-2 and -4 are negative; so, 8 is positive

If two non-zero numbers have different signs, and they are multiplied together, the end result will be negative.

For instance:

-2 * 4 = -8

-2 is negative, and 4 is positive; so, -8 is negative

2 * -4 = -8

2 is positive, and -4 is negative; so, -8 is negative

How to work -1x-2y=-13 x-2y=11 equation by substitution
Norma-Jean [14]
Well if you're wanting to use substitution, you first have to end up with one term on either side of the equation. Use the second one as it's easiest.

So: x-2y=11, so find -2y as there is a -2y in the first equation.
then that becomes -2y=11-x. then sub that into equation 1, and you get:

-x+11-x=-13, which equals to -2x+11=-13, which is -2x=-24, so therefore

x=12. then chuck the x into any of the equations to find what y equals.

hope this helps!
