Find x and explain how you found it!
Lerok [7]

Answer:

\Large\boxed{\sf x = 19.2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Here a right angled triangle is given to us and we need to find out the value of x . The measure of one of the sides is 24 and one of the acute angle is 53° .

  • Here 24 is hypotenuse of the triangle and x is the perpendicular .

So here we may use the ratio of sine as ,

\sf\qquad\longrightarrow sin\theta =\dfrac{p}{h}  \\\\

\sf\qquad\longrightarrow  sin53^\circ =\dfrac{x}{24}\\\\

Substitute the value of sin 53° = 4/5 ,

\sf\qquad\longrightarrow \dfrac{4}{5}=\dfrac{x}{24} \\\\

Cross multiply ,

\sf\qquad\longrightarrow x =\dfrac{24*4}{5}  \\\\

Simplify,

\sf\qquad\longrightarrow \frak{\pink{x =19.2}} \\\\

Mattie Evans drove 80 miles in the same amount of time that it took a turbopropeller plane to travel 400 miles. The speed of the
PtichkaEL [24]
There is not a real way to justify this, but I saw first that 400-80 equals 320 which is double 160. This made me think that the period of time during this was 2 hours. The car drove 80 miles in two hours and the plane flew 400 miles in 2 hours. The period for one hour would be 40 mph for the car and 200 mph for the plane. 200-40=160. I have no idea how to prove it though and I’m hoping you can go backwards.

Determine which number is a solution of the inequality g - 3 &gt; 4; 6, 7, 8
Rina8888 [55]
To find the answer, simply substitute each choice into the equation.

6-3>4
3>4
The answer is not 6 as 3 is less than 4, not greater than it.

7-3>4
4>4
The answer is not 7 as 4 is not greater or less than 4, it is equal to 4.

8-3>4
5>4
The answer IS 8, as 5 is greater than 4.

If the parent function y= csc x goes through a transformation to produce 1+csc (x-π), what is the resultant shift in the functio
Lostsunrise [7]
The transformations which have made to produce the function
y₂ = 1+csc (x-π) from the <span>parent function y = csc x
</span>1. shift up one unit ⇒ shift one unit in the direction of positive y
2. shift to the left equal to π ⇒ shift π units in the direction of positive x

See the attached figure.
Blue graph represents the parent function
Red graph represents the produced function after transformation.
