Lee knew that certain events occur to create new material in the process of sea-floor spreading. Rearrange the steps into the co

Answer:

Seafloor spreading is a geologic process in which tectonic plates—large slabs of Earth's lithosphere—split apart from each other. ... As tectonic plates slowly move away from each other, heat from the mantle's convection currents makes the crust more plastic and less dense.

Why is velocity and not just speed important to these pilots?
horrorfan [7]
We're not sure which pilots you're talking about, but we can be sure
that whichever ones they are, velocity is more important to them than
just plain speed is.

Velocity is speed AND its direction.  I can clearly recall that when I was
taking flying lessons, and later flying solo with nobody else in the airplane
to get me out of a jam, it was not enough to know that my airspeed was
90 miles per hour.  I also needed to know at ALL times that my velocity
was NOT pointed straight at the ground.

Happily, I knew, even back then, the difference between velocity and
just-plain-speed, and I'm sure that that is a big part of the reason that
I am here today to tell you the tale.

Answer: No, because the atomic number shown in the symbol (Z = 15) is not the atomic number of oxygen (Z = 8)

Explanation:

When we have an atom, the number in the top left is the mass number A, is equal to the sum between the number of neutrons and protons in the atom.

In this case, between protons and neutrons, we have 32.

The number at the bottom left is the atomic number Z, which is equal to the number of protons in the atom.

Particularly, this number is different for every element. For example, for the oxygen we would have Z = 8, this means that the oxygen has 8 protons.

In the image, we can see Z = 15, then the atom has 15 protons, this means that it can not be oxygen (Z = 15 is for phosphorus, then this atom would be phosphorrs). Then the symbol can not be used, because that is not oxygen.

Any Acellus folk figure out the answer to this one??? I CANNOT for the life of me.
Olin [163]

Answer:

-0.10472\frac{rad}{s}

Explanation:

Remember that any <u><em>clockwise</em></u> rotation is considered negative, and any <u><em>counterclockwise</em></u> rotation is considered positive.

The formula for period is:

T = \dfrac{2\pi}{\omega}

Solve for \omega\\ and you get:

\omega=\dfrac{2\pi}{T}

The period is 60 seconds so make that division and you're left with -0.10472\frac{rad}{s} or -0.10\frac{rad}{s} if significant figures apply (negative because the rotation is clockwise).

The force of attraction between a -165.0 uC and +115.0 C charge is 6.00 N. What is the separation between these two charges in m
Molodets [167]

Answer:

r = 5.335 meters

Explanation:

Given that,

Charge 1, q_1=-165\ \mu C

Charge 2, q_2=115\ \mu C

Force of attraction between two charges, F = 6 N

The force of attraction between two charges is given by :

F=k\dfrac{q_1q_2}{r^2}, r is the separation between two charges

r=\sqrt{\dfrac{kq_1q_2}{F}}

r=\sqrt{\dfrac{9\times 10^9\times 165\times 10^{-6}\times 115\times 10^{-6}}{6}}

r = 5.335 m

So, the separation between two charges is 5.335 meters. Hence, this is the required solution.
