Answer:

The correct answer to the question: Which of the following would be the best experiment to perform, would indeed be, C: Apply the same amount of force to a ball, cylinder, cube, and pyramid, each of the same mass.

Explanation:

The reason for this being the answer comes from the request of the teacher. He wants to know if the shape of an object, and only that variable, will affect the object´s motion. As such, there are several things to keep in mind. One, that the objects selected for the trial, need to be different in shape; otherwise you would not be meeting the desired purpose of the test. Second, they must all be equal in mass, otherwise there would still be a new variable to think about for the test that has a very specific purpose, and what you want to do is minimize the variables. Third thing is, that the force used on the object, must be the same; otherwise another new variable would emerge. The one option that meets the requirements to answer the request from the teacher is, C.

Why was George Washington dispatched to Fort Duquesne? What happened as a result of his dispatchment?
Ahat [919]

Answer:The location gave the French the opportunity to trade with Native American groups in the Ohio Country and deter the growth of British trade and settlement in North America. In spring 1754, Major George Washington led an expedition of 300 Virginians toward Fort Duquesne to force the French to abandon the site.
