A reporter for a student newspaper is writing an article on the cost of off-campus housing. A sample was selected of 10 one-bedr

oom units within a half-mile of campus and the rents paid. The sample mean is $550 and the sample standard deviation is $60.05. Provide a 95% confidence interval estimate of the mean rent per month for the population of one-bedroom units within a half-mile of campus. Assume that population is normally distributed.

Answer:

(507.05, 592.95)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

sample mean = $550, sample standard deviation S = $60.05

95% confidence interval , n = 10

For 95% confidence interval for the mean

mean ± M.E.

where M.E. is margin of error = t_{n-1}, \alpha/2\times\frac{S}{\sqrt{n} }

Substituting the values in above equation

=t_{10-1}, 0.05/2\times\frac{60.05}{\sqrt{10} }

= 2.62×18.99

=42.955

= 550±42.95

=(507.05, 592.95)

I write out all the whole numbers, starting from 1. If I wrote 1994 digits altogether, what was the last complete number I wrote
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

You wrote the numbers from 1 to 9: 9 digits.

You wrote the numbers from 10 to 99: 90*2 = 180 digits.

You have written 189 digits.

Then you wrote another 1994 - 189 = 1805

All the numbers from 100 to 999 have 3 digits

So you wrote 1805/3 = 601 2/3

This means 601 full numbers and 2 digits from the 602. number.

So 100 + 601 - 1 = 700 was the last number you wrote.

Do you agree?

Find the value of x. Show your work.<br><br> WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!!!
sergeinik [125]
The answer is 54
Because When the sum of two angles is equal to 90 degrees, they are called complementary angles. For example, 30 degrees and 60 degrees are complementary angles. And it say that that angle equals 32 so just do 32-90 you get 58 but it says 6x plus 4 then you do 58-4 you get 54

write an equation of the line passing through the pair of points or state that the slope is undefined. (-3,5) and (3,-7)
AveGali [126]

Step-by-step explanation:

equation of a line = y-y1=m(x-x1)

but we have to find the slope

so slope=<u>y</u><u>2</u><u>-</u><u>y</u><u>1</u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u> = -<u>7-5</u>

x2-x1. 3--3

<u>-12</u>

6

<u>-2</u>

1. =-2

y-5=-2(x-3)

y-5=-2x+6

y=-2x+6-5

y=2x+1

Which function transforms the graph of y= x^2 so that it is first shifted down 4 units and its then reflected across the y- axis
GaryK [48]

Answer:

Option C. y= ( -x)^2 -4

Step-by-step explanation:

If we have a function f(x) = ax ^ 2 and we want to transform it into a function g(x) that is equal to f(x) displaced c units down on the y-axis, then we must do:

g(x) = f(x) -c

In this case we want to move the function 4 units down, then:

g(x) = f(x) -4\\\\g(x) = x ^ 2 -4

Finally, to reflect the function on the y-axis. must do y = g(-x)

Then we have the following function:

g(-x) = (-x) ^ 2 -4\\\\y = (-x) ^ 2 -4

The answer is option C
