Assume a future where security counter measures against DoS attacks are much more widely implemented than at present. In this fu

ture network, anti-spoofing and directed broadcast filters are widely deployed. Also, the security of PCs and workstations is much greater, making the creation of botnets difficult. Do the administrators of server systems still have to be concerned about, and take further countermeasures against, DoS attacks? If so, what types of attacks can still occur, and what measures can be taken to reduce their impact? Explain in detail with valid diagram and example.

Answer:

yes administrators have to be concerned

Explanation:

It is necessary for countermeasures to be taken against DoS attacks

The types of attacks that can still occur are:

If the network connection get to be overloaded,  there could be flash crown of this computer system and fraudulent activities maybe initiated. By flash crowd  we mean that the there is a great deal of traffic on the system and this could cause the network connection to be destroyed.

To reduce the impact of this kind of attacks,

1. there should be enough or excess network bandwidth  and distributed servers should be replicated if there is a possibility that network could get to be overloaded.

2. restriction is more commonly done on sporting sites. Restriction brings about an increase in implementation cost.

3. The impact of this type of attack can be reduced by stopping unwanted traffic throught the implementation of filters

4. Use strong antivirus on computer sytems that are used to connect to the internet

Where is the error in this code sequence?
Art [367]

Answer:

There is an error in "String s=s1-s2 ";

Explanation:

In java programming, we can subtract subtract two strings variable with "-" operator.Java programming does not  support an overload of the '-' operator. In java, we can use only "+" operator to append two strings variable. There is no such method to subtract strings in java. Therefore in the given code String s=s1-s2 will give an "bad operand type" error because we can not subtract one string variable from the second string variable.

Suppose list1 is an MyArrayList and list2 is a MyLinkedList. Both contains 1 million double values. Analyze the following code:
hjlf

Answer:

The correct answer for the given question is " The Code fragment A runs fastly than the code fragment of B".

Explanation:

In this question there are some information is missing i. e options. The question does not give any options. The options for the given question is given below

(A.) The Code fragment A runs fastly than the code fragment of B.

(B.) The Code fragment B runs fastly than code fragment of  A.

(C)  The Code fragment A runs as fastly as code fragment of B.

So we conclude the answer i.e option(A) because As given in the question list1  is a MyArrayList and list2 is a MyLinkedList.  , in list1 we fetching the data easily and fastly means that it remove the data easily as compare to list2 As MyArrayList is storing the list only and also we can fetch the data easily manner.

The list2 is an object of MyLinkedList means that it manipulating the data fastly as compared to MyArrayList but if we compared the fetching of data then  MyArrayList is a better option so the code fragment runs fastly then code fragmented B.

Which statement correctly explains why televisions became less bulky?
REY [17]

Answer:

The old cathode Ray tube technology was replaced by the less bulkier and more modern liquid crystal display and LED technology.

Explanation:

The old cathode ray tube uses the principle of electrical discharge in gas. Electrons moving through the gas, and deflected by magnetic fields, strike the screen, producing images and a small amount of X-rays. The tube required more space, and consumed more electricity, and was very bulky. The modern technologies are more compact and consume less power, and can been designed to be sleek and less bulky.
