I believe the answer is: A. appreciate; depreciate

The only assets that tend to always appreciate in value over time are only lands, building, and precious metal. Cars tend to depreciate over time because not only the function would deteriorate, newer version of the cars tend to provide better technology which attract more consumers.

Typically homes appreciate over time and cars depreciate over time.

Further explanation:

With the increase in population, values of homes are appreciating over time and cars are depreciating over time. In every city, there is limited area and population is increasing so with the increase in population, population density is also increasing. So the utility of cars is also increasing and other reason behind decreasing value of car might be technological advancement, there are varieties of cars which attract consumers.

HOMES DEPRECIATE AND CARS APPRECIATE OVER TIME

There is limited area and population is increasing so the value of homes has been constantly increasing with passing years. So the amount of land is decreasing and prices are increasing. Employment is also a major reason behind decreasing value of cars and increasing value of homes over time.

The one of the reason behind increase in cars demand is distance also as people travel long distance especially we can see this in metropolitan cities. In present society, car is not just a symbol of status but it has also become a necessity of people. Other factor like pollution is also responsible in high demand of cars. People prefer going by car rather than any other means.

So in this way, the prices of homes are increasing and cars are decreasing over time.

Intuitive thought.

Explanation:

The four developmental stages of Jean Piaget are subdivided into stages according to the development process of children. The second sub-stage of Piaget's preoperational stage is called the Intuitive Thought sub-stage because at this stage learning occurs by intuition of thoughts. Nadina is struggling to decide whether to buy a new sweater that she really cannot afford. what role would each f the three part
stiks02 [169]
When deciding whether or not she should buy an expensive sweater, Nadina's id, ego and superego would play a role. These three components of Nadina's personality would respectively play a role as follows:

i) Id- This component of personality is basically known as the pleasure seeking component, without any rationality, logical and regard for consequences. In Nadina's instance her id would play a role in urging her to give into her desire for pleasure and buy the expensive sweater.

ii) Ego- The ego is a part of personality, that serves as a mediator between the pleasure-seeking and irrational id, and practical, real world aspects. The ego is characterized by reasoning and consideration of real-life, pragmatic aspects in the decision making process. Here, Nadina's ego would push her to think of a way to buy the sweater and devise a plan so that this purchase will not set back her finances greatly. For instance, Nadina might decide that if she buys the sweater, she can make up for it and justify the expense by fewer meals out for the next two weeks.

iii) Superego- This aspect of personality includes our morals, beliefs and values which we imbibe from our parents, teachers and other authority figures in society. When making decisions, we take these morals and beliefs into consideration. In Nadina's case, her superego would urge her not to buy the sweater since she cannot afford it and probably needs to spend her money mostly on essentials instead (food, rent, education, children, etc.)
