 For every adult, there must be at least one student.
let x be student, let y be adult

y = 2x

y + x = 240
5x + 10y = maximum amount.

plug in 2x for y

2x + x = 240

3x = 240

3x/3 = 240/3

x = 240/3

x = 80

There are 80 students, and 160 adults.

160 adults = $1600
80 students = $400

This will generate a total of $2000 dollars

160 adults, 80 students should be your answer

hope this helps

Which description best fits the distribution of the data shown in the histogram?
s344n2d4d5 [400]
This is an approximately bell-shaped distribution. The highest bar is in the center, with height = 12. Just to its left and right are bars of heights 6 and 5. At the extremes are bars of heights 2 and 1.

If the highest bar was on the left, it would be skewed left (and if it was on the right, skewed right). A uniform distribution would more or less have the same height level over all the bars.

Hollis put a layer of boxes in the bottom of a container. Each box has a volume of 1 cubic foot. The base layer of boxes in the
nignag [31]

Answer:

288 ft³

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

The volume of each box is 1 cubic foot

And, Hollies required 8 of these layers

Now based on the above information

We assume that the dimension of the base layer is 6 by 6

So, the volume of the container is

= Length × Width × Height

where,

Length = 6 ft

Width = 6 ft

And, Height = 8 ft

So,

= 6 ft × 6 ft × 8 ft

= 288 ft³

r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

The equation is p=34a+12, and a=7

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter is all of the sides added together

p=12a+6a+8+6a+8+10a-4

Combine like-terms

p=34a+12

Solve for a by making p equal to 250

250=34a+12

Subtract 12 from both sides

238=34a

Divide both sides by 34

7=a

Divide a^24-a^18+a^12 by a^6<br> what is the quotation?
lana66690 [7]

I think you mean "what is the QUOTIENT?"

\dfrac{a^{24} - a^{18} + a^{12}}{a^6} =

= \dfrac{a^{24}}{a^6} - \dfrac{a^{18}}{a^6} + \dfrac{a^{12}}{a^6}

= a^{24 - 6} - a^{18 - 6} + a^{12 - 6}

= a^{18} - a^{12} + a^{6}
