Answer:

A: 6x^2 + 19x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

6x + 1 (x +3)

use the foil method so first do 6x(x) and you get 6x^2 then 6x(3) + x(1) and you get the 19x then you just do 3(1) and you get your answer which as stated above is 6z^2 + 19x + 3

At the movie theatre, child admission is $5.40 and adult admission is $8.70 . on friday, 159 tickets were sold for a total sales
blondinia [14]
Alright this is gonna be a long one

Lets called child tickets x and adult tickets y

so x + y should be equal to 159 since they said that the total sum of the tickets is 159
so thats your first equation : x + y = 159

next form an equation using the prices,
5.40x + 8.70y = 1079.70

now that you have your two equations, just substitute the first into the second (you could either substitute for x or y by saying x = 159-y or that y=159-x)

Hope this helps.

\bf \begin{array}{llll} \textit{area of an equilateral triangle}\\\\ A=\cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{4}\qquad \begin{cases} s=length~of\\ \qquad a~side \end{cases} \end{array}\qquad \begin{array}{llll} \textit{volume of a pyramid}\\\\ V=\cfrac{Bh}{3}~~ \begin{cases} B=area~of\\ \qquad its~base\\ h=height\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ B=\cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{4}\\[1em] h=s \end{cases} \end{array}

\bf V=\cfrac{~~\left( \frac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{4} \right)(s)~~}{3}\implies V=\cfrac{~~\frac{s^3\sqrt{3}}{4}~~}{\frac{3}{1}} \\\\\\ V=\cfrac{s^3\sqrt{3}}{4}\cdot \cfrac{1}{3}\implies V=\cfrac{s^3\sqrt{3}}{12}
