Answer:

The correct option is;

The sports car, because it has less mass and therefore less inertia

Explanation:

Newton's first law of motion states that an object will continue in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless acted on by a force. The property exhibited by the object is known as inertia

Newton's second law states that force is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum produced

The rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the resultant force applied and is in the direction of the resultant force. The resultant force is equal to the rate of change of momentum.

Therefore, we have;

F = m·dv/dt = m×a

Given that the force required to move an object is directly proportional to its mass therefore, the inertia or the object resistance that requires a force to bring change is directly proportional to the mass of the object.

The mass of a sports car being considered lesser than the mass of the minivan will require less force to push and therefore has less inertia.

Describe real life examples of the results of scientific investigation
kupik [55]
-- We know that the Earth is a spinning globe.

-- We know what the weather will be like in your town tomorrow.

-- We know the distance from us to the Sun and the Moon.

-- Best of all: Your doctor can give you shots so you won't get flu,
chicken pox, measles, mumps, whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria,
smallpox, or polio.

Almost EVERY kid used to get chicken pox, measles, and mumps
when I was in school, and thousands of kids used to die every year
from diphtheria and polio. And now, you probably never heard of
most of these.

How could the movement of tectonic plates create another supercontinent like Pangaea
Yuki888 [10]
Since the continents are moving ever so slightly over the years, in couple million years they could all connect again like Pangaea.

A uniformly charged conducting sphere of 1.3 m diameter has a surface charge density of 8.1 µc/m2. (a) find the net charge on th
8_murik_8 [283]
The surface charge density = q/A So q = surface charge density x Area The surface area of a sphere of radius R is 4*Pi*R^2. R = d/2 where d is diameter. This leaves us with 1.3/2 = 0.65. Area = 4 * pie * (0.65)^2 = 5.30998. So the net charge q = 8.1 * 10^(-6) * 5.30998 = 42.47998 * 10^(-6) The Total electric flux = Q/e_0 where , 8.854 Ă— 10â’12, e_0 is permitivity of free space. So Flux = 42.47998 * 10^(-6) / 8.854 * 10(â’12) = 4.833 * 10^(-6 - (-12)) = 4.833 * 10^(6)
