• In the carbon cycle, carbon is transferred or moved between the four reservoirs where it is in different states:
  • Atmosphere, where it is in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2) by joining with oxygen in the form of gas.
  • Terrestrial biosphere is found in the elements that make up terrestrial and coastal ecosystems, in non-living organic matter, and in the soil.
  • Oceans, is part of the hydrosphere, is found in dissolved organic carbon, in marine organisms and in non-living matter.
  • Sediments: it is part of the geosphere, it is found in fossils and fossil fuels.

Punnett square is given below and on the base of the result of Punnett square, Millie should mate with Denver to get three different colors of puppies.

Explanation:

The question says that Millie has a genotype BB*, which is a combination or heterozygous condition of dark brown allele B and white allele B*, now cross with Denver (light brown color):

Cross 1:

         B B*

B BB BB*

  B* BB* B*B*

the results is : 25% dark brown, 50% light brown and 25% white.

cross 2: with Charley (white color)

    B B*

B* BB* B*B*

B* BB* B*B*

there is only white and light brown puppies produced

Thus, the correct answer is - Denver.

Why are gamma rays not affected by a magnet as they pass over it?
gayaneshka [121]
Only alpha and beta ray will be affected because they are charged with positive and negative ions respectively. In Electric field, they will be moved(i cant figure out a suitable word). THey move in a hyperbolic path and follows the positive and negative terminal. Both the alpha and beta will flow to opposite to each other where alpha will move to the negative terminal and beta will move to the positive terminal. In magnetic field, its more complicated then electric field. U eva heard of the Left Hand Flemming Rule?, Its hard to explain without a diagram. Maybe u shud search out urself. They will follow a circular path. In both fields, alpha will move less while beta will shift more because alpha is heavier then beta.

As i say just now, gamma is not affected by both fields because it isnt charged

What is the difference between rRNA, tRNA, mRNA and codon, anticodon
Eddi Din [679]
MRNA, is used to transcript DNA codes from DNA molecules and then later exits the nucleus via nuclear pore, then moves to the ribosome. Then, tRNA is activated to bring specific amino acid to the ribosome for translation. Ribosome, which is the site of synthesis of proteins, is composed of rRNA and ribosomal proteins.
A codon is a three-base sequence (three nitrogen bases in a row) on mRNA. An anticodon is a three-base sequence on tRNA. It matches the codon.

Use the cell theory to explain why a stuffed animal dog is not alive
notka56 [123]
The cell theory consists of the rule that all living things must contain cells. The stuffed animal (since it is nonliving) has no cells. More evidence to prove this is that the stuffed animal comes from a manufacturer not other cells.
