Answer:

An organism keeps growing because it's cells multiply. Cells are only meant to be a certain size yes but they're also meant to duplicate. For example cancer cells, they only grow so big but then they duplicate causing the tumor to grow bigger. Does that make sense?

Point Q is the midpoint of AB. Q has coordinates of (-2, 4) and A has coordinates of (4,6). What are the coordinates of point B?
erastovalidia [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

Let (x, y) be the coordinates of point B.

(4, 6) => (-2, 4) => (x, y)

We have 2(-2) = 4 + x and 2(4) = 6 + y.

Solving these, we get x = -8 and y = 2.

Hence the coordinates of point B is (-8, 2).

How to multiply this problem
forsale [732]
To multiply 13.26 times 23, we first have to set it up vertically.
  13.26
  x   23
  --------
   3978
 2652
----------
 30498
Adding in the decimal, we get 304.98, because the total amount of decimal numbers in the equation, is 2. Therefore, the answer will have 2 decimal numbers. I hope this helps! :D But, if you don't understand how to multiply, tell me. I'm pretty sure that you do, but you know, just in case!

Answer:

The container can hold 18 gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume the container can hold x gallons

∵ The container is \frac{2}{3}  full with water

∵ It can hold x gallons

→ Multiply \frac{2}{3} by x to find the number of gallons in the container

∴ The number of gallons in the container = \frac{2}{3} x

∵ 4 gallons of water pouring out

∵ It is  \frac{4}{9} full

→ Multiply \frac{4}{9} by x to find the number of gallons left in it

∴ The number of gallons left in the container = \frac{4}{9} x

→ The difference between the numbers of gallons is 4 gallons

∵  \frac{2}{3} x - \frac{4}{9} x = 4

→ Subtract the terms of the left side

∴ \frac{2}{9} x = 4

→ Multiply both sides by 9

∴ 2x = 36

→ Divide both sides by 18

∴ x = 18

∵ x represents the full of the container

∴ The container can hold 18 gallons
