jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

The correct answer is "Tertiary consumers would have less food".

Explanation:

Animals in the tertiary trophic level are omnivores that eat animals that are in the secondary trophic level because they are carnivorous as well. An invasive top predator such as boa constrictors not necessary eat animals in the tertiary trophic level, however they affect them because they eat their food. Boa constrictors' diet include a wide variety of animals, including birds, mammals, and other reptiles

What effect does development, through erecting buildings and concrete pavement, have on the recharge of aquifers and the quality
Mkey [24]

Answer:

Infiltrate rate decreases and also water quality.

Explanation:

There is adverse effect of erecting buildings and concrete pavement on the recharge of aquifers and the quality of the water because the water is unable to infiltrate inside the soil due to concrete floor and the recharging of aquifers is not possible. These buildings and concrete pavements also reduces the quality of water due to degradation of sediments present in the building with the passage of time.

Homologous pairs of chromosomes are lined up independently of other such pairs during _____. Homologous pairs of chromosomes are
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

Homologous pairs of chromosomes are lined up independently of other such pairs during metaphase I.

Explanation:

Meiosis is a special type of nuclear division that occurs only in organisms with sexual reproduction. The meyotic division gives rise to gametes.

The division begins just after the chromosome DNA has replicated in the S phase. Each chromosome is made up of two identical sister chromatids joined by their centromere. However, chromosomes are not kept separate in the nucleus, but instead bind to their homologous partners. This union called synapse, occurs during prophase I.

In metaphase I, the pairs of chromosomes are aligned in the spindle Ecuador, that is, during this stage, the homologous pairs are aligned in the metaphase plate (which is the equatorial plane of the achromatic spindle) for separation.

During anaphase I, the members are directed to the opposite poles of the cell. Telophase I, this phase begins with the arrival of chromosomes at the poles and with the formation of a nuclear envelope around each group of chromosomes. During Profase II, the nuclear membrane (if formed during Telophase I) dissolves, and spindle fibers appear.

The first meyotic metaphase and anaphase is usually completed in a short time to give rise to the phases of the second division (metaphase II and anaphase II) , which is a mitosis during which the centromeres divide and the chromatides move towards opposite poles to become gamete chromosomes. In telophase II, cytokinesis separates cells.

Name four factors that affect population growth then explain how each factor contributes to population growth
daser333 [38]

Answer:

Contraceptive Education/Availability, Healthcare, Country Development, and Political Climate

Explanation:

When people are educated about proper contraceptive use they can still have sex without the consequence of pregnancy. The availability of contraceptives goes hand in hand with contraceptive education.

Advanced healthcare can help prevent disease through immunizations and further the life expectancy of the country's population. Hand washing can significantly lower the spread of disease.

The lower the development of a country the higher the birth rate is, while the higher the developed countries have a lower birth rate and their life expectancy is much longer.

The political climate of a country can greatly affect the population growth. The more negative the political climate is usually causes a smaller birth rate. For example when China implemented the one child policy their population growth declined;.
