Answer:

1.6 L is the volume of NaOH that has reacted

Explanation:

The balanced reaction is:

H₂SO₄ + 2NaOH → Na₂SO₄  + 2H₂O

This is a neutralization reaction between a strong acid and a strong base. The products are the correspond salt and water.

We propose this rule of three:

1 mol of sulfuric acid needs 2 mol of NaOH to react to react

Then, 2.4 moles of H₂SO₄  will react with (2.4 . 2) / 1 = 4.8 moles of NaOH

As molarity is 3M, we can determine the volume of our solution

Molarity (M) = mol / volume(L) → Volume(L) = mol / Molarity

Volume(L) = 4.8 mol / 3 M = 1.6 L

Which of the following will increase polymer strain to failure
Blizzard [7]

increase Polymer strain to failure is given below.

Explanation:

  • Strain to failure gives the measure of how much the specimen is elongated to failure. By this it means that, it you have strain to failure of 3% measured in specimen of length 100 mm, the material will fail when it it elongated 3 mm, as experimented in tensile test. Therefore, for a material with higher strain to failure rate, the ductility is higher and tensile strength is lower.

  • Tensile strength means the maximum mechanical stress (i.e. applied force divided by (initial) cross-section area of the specimen tested) during a tensile test, which is not directly correlated to the deformability or strain at failure or break since the tensile strength also is affected by the stiffness of the material. Therefore a ductile material might deform on a lower mechanical stress level than a stiffer one (this is the usual case), meaning its tensile strength is lower although its deformability is higher.
  • Therefore, for a material with higher strain to failure rate, the ductility is higher and tensile strength is lower.

A piece of tin has a mass of 16.52 g and a volume of 2.26 cm3 what is the density of tin?
boyakko [2]

Answer:

The density of tin is 7.31 g/cm³.

Explanation:

Given that the formula of density is D = m/v where m represents mass and v is volume :

D = 16.52/2.26

D = 7.31 g/cm³ (3sf)

What is not represented by a balanced chemical equation?
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

A balanced chemical equation follows law of conservation of mass. This law states that mass can neither be created nor be destroyed but it can only be transformed from one form to another form. This means that total mass on the reactant side is equal to the total mass on the product side.
