Icarus and Daedalus were alike in their motive to escape imprisonment, however, Daedalus was cautious while Icarus was reckless, resulting in his own death. Daedalus even warned Icarus that getting too close to the sun could be dangerous but alas….
Daedalus and Icarus were alike because they wanted to both escape their confinements. The difference was that Icarus was overconfident in his uncle's invention. Daedalus knew that doing what Icarus was doing was a death sentence.
