Compare and contrast skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle tissue relative to structure, body location, and specific function
Usimov [2.4K]
Skeletal muscle is a voluntary muscle type that is composed of long muscle cells and fibers. They are directly controlled by yourself and are used for movement. It is the muscle that makes up all the more superficial musculature.

Smooth muscle is the muscle that is controlled involuntarily, meaning it doesn't act on an impulse but rather is constantly working. They compose organs such as the bladder, Large Intestines, and small intestines. Smooth muscle is fairly elastic and can stretch to accomadate contents.

Cardiac muscle is unique to the Heart. It is designed to continuously pump, on involuntary impulse. Its muscle cells share some characteristics with smooth and skeletal muscle.

T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, commonly found in children  is a  fast-growing  increasing  type of leukemia also blood cancer in which too many T-cell lymphoblasts are found in the bone marrow and blood affecting them. the presentation of the 15 year old boy with white cell count of 76 x 10 9/L, platelet count of 55 x 10 9/L and a hematocrit of 33% when a white cell differential is performed shows there are problems relating to immature cells found in bone marrows and the white blood cells  which are an indication for this type of cancer.
