Here!

<h2>The answer is Option A!</h2>

(x + 2 \sqrt{3} i)(x - 2 \sqrt{3}i )

<h3>Why so??</h3>

Let's see what complex numbers are!

(x + 2  \sqrt{3 }i  )(x - 2 \sqrt{3}i ) \\  =  {x}^{2}  - 2 \sqrt{3} x + 2 \sqrt{3} x -  {(2 \sqrt{3} i)}^{2}  \\  =  {x}^{2}  -  {(2 \sqrt{3}i) }^{2}

Now we know,

{i}^{2}  =  - 1

So!

=  {x}^{2}  - 12 \times(  - 1)

=  {x}^{2}  + 12

And thus we get the answer!

A regular hexagon has a perimeter of 60 in. What is the hexagon's area?
Jet001 [13]
Divide the perimeter by 5 since it is regular. 60/5 = 12. Split the hexagon into a triangle and a rectangle. Find the area of each and add them together. Area of the rectangle is 12*12 = 144. To find the area of the triangle, you need to find an angle measure= y, hypotenuse = c, and a leg = a or b. An easy way to find an angle measure is to cut down the altitude and find the angle next to the base and altitude which would be 90° due to the fact that the triangle is regular also. With the regular triangle split in half, you have two right angle which form both 90-45-45 triangles. Use this formula, A=ac \frac{siny}{2} --- A=12*12 \frac{sin45}{2} to find the area of the triangle which equals to 50.91. Add (((144+50.91 = 194.91))) I hope I got this right if not, i'm sorry lol.

The state education commission wants to estimate the fraction of tenth grade students that have reading skills at or below the e
kow [346]

Answer:

The 80% confidence interval for the population proportion of tenth graders reading at or below the eighth grade level is (0.149, 0.207).

Step-by-step explanation:

In a sample with a number n of people surveyed with a probability of a success of \pi, and a confidence level of 1-\alpha, we have the following confidence interval of proportions.

\pi \pm z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

In which

z is the zscore that has a pvalue of 1 - \frac{\alpha}{2}.

Suppose a sample of 292 tenth graders is drawn. Of the students sampled, 240 read above the eighth grade level.

So 292 - 240 = 52 read below or at eight grade level, and that n = 292, \pi = \frac{52}{292} = 0.178

80% confidence level

So \alpha = 0.2, z is the value of Z that has a pvalue of 1 - \frac{0.2}{2} = 0.9, so Z = 1.28.

The lower limit of this interval is:

\pi - z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.178 - 1.28\sqrt{\frac{0.178*0.822}{292}} = 0.149

The upper limit of this interval is:

\pi + z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.178 + 1.28\sqrt{\frac{0.178*0.822}{292}} = 0.207

The 80% confidence interval for the population proportion of tenth graders reading at or below the eighth grade level is (0.149, 0.207).
