An amino acid is an organic molecule that is made up of a basic amino group (−NH2), an acidic carboxyl group (−COOH), and an organic R group (or side chain) that is unique to each amino acid.

A marine biologist measured the amount of heat radiated from an aquarium over the course of an experiment. His measurements are
Andrews [41]

Answer:

The correct answer is - A closed system exchanges all of its energy with its surroundings, and the scientist only measured the exchange of heat.

Explanation:

The amount of heat radiated is measured and analyzed by the marine biologist in this given experiment from an aquarium and on the basis of data the diagram is represented that states that the radiated energy is not constant over time and there are fluctuations.

It can not be considered as a closed system as energy is still exchange with the surrounding system, however, mass is not exchange but still, it cannot be called a closed system.

Which of the following is an example of a non-falsifiable hypothesis? A. There is a teacup orbiting the Milky Way galaxy. B. The
frez [133]
Hello!
In order to find the correct answer, you need to find a hypothesis that cannot be proven wrong. Out of the options in the prompt, all but one can indeed be proven wrong. The correct answer is A because there is no way anyone can tell if there is a teacup orbiting the Milky Way galaxy or not. We know that it can be proven wrong there is no life on Mars, the human species started in Africa and that humans cannot live without a certain amino acid. The only thing that really can’t be proven wrong (that is quite stupid) is the one about a teacup.

Upon studying the theory of falsifiability, I came across an example of a person who claimed they had invisible unicorns in their digestive tract. We know that this (incredibly dumb) example cannot be proven wrong because, well, there is no way to actually know what’s in someone.

valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

1. B

2. C

3. A

Explanation:

1. Most of the carbohydrates in the foods you eat are digested and broken down into glucose before entering the bloodstream. Glucose in the blood is taken up into your body's cells and used to produce a fuel molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP) through a series of complex processes known as cellular respiration.

2. Fats are known as being a long term energy source, and the fat on your body is used a "cushioning" for your bones.

3. To break a protein down into its amino acids you will need enzymes. Enzymes are biological molecules (proteins) that act as catalysts and help complex reactions occur everywhere in life.
