Answer:

anno domini

Today the international standard is to designate years based on a traditional reckoning of the year Jesus was born — the “A.D.” and "B.C." system. "A.D." stands for anno domini, Latin for “in the year of the lord,” and refers specifically to the birth of Jesus Christ.

What happened to the Continental Army at the Valley Forge encampment?
lana [24]

Answer: C) many troops died, but those who survived were well trained

Explanation:

Of the 11,000 soldiers stationed at Valley Forge, hundreds died from disease. As the winter stretched on, Prussian military adviser Frederick von Steuben kept the soldiers busy with drills and training in modern military strategy. When Washington’s army marched out of Valley Forge on June 19, 1778, the men were better disciplined and stronger in spirit than when they had entered.

(Which goal(s) did the program target? Explain.)
Rasek [7]
Youth were given opportunities for school, employment, counseling, and enjoyment. Student aid was provided to students in high school, college, and graduate school. For their efforts, students were required to work part-time at schools. "I brought a piece of paper home and typed all night to deliver to school the next morning." This is an excellent program. I was able to do the necessary tasks. Teens were given the opportunity to work for cash. I spent my money on clothes, shoes, school supplies, movies, and other frivolous things. Pickles, candy bars, and such such things. I was able to relieve my mother of the burden of my constant requests for money. For graduates who were unable to find work or for dropout youngsters, NYA provided part-time jobs such as working on highways, parks, and the grounds of public buildings. Helped young people, such as dental assistants, obtain training and employment prospects.
