Answer:

73 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the temperature during a day can be modeled by a sinusoid.

At 4 am. lowest = 53 deg and at 4 pm highest = 99 deg

Amplitude = (99-53)/2 = 23

Mean temp = 76 deg

If 4 am is taken as t =0 then we have middle temp = 46 degrees at 10 a.m.

Hence equation would be of the form

T(t) =23 sin (pi t/12)+53 where T is the temperature and t is time in hours from 4 a.m.

At 8 am t =4

So T(4) = 23 sin pi/3 +53  = 19.92+53  =72.92

Nearly 73 degrees

one cup of flour will be used used to make 15/3 cookies that will be 5

1 cup of flour is used to make =15/3=5

for 4 cups of flour we will multiply 4 on both sides

hence t will give

4 cup of flour is used to make =5*4=20 cookies

When is it most appropriate to use the completing the square method to solve a quadratic equation?
mash [69]

Answer:

Don't forget to include a ± sign in your equation once you have taken the square root. Next, if the coefficient of the squared term is 1 and the coefficient of the linear (middle) term is even, completing the square is a good method to use. Finally, the quadratic formula will work on any quadratic equation.

Step-by-step explanation:

x² + 4x = 15 can be solved best using the completing the square method.

2x(x−3)=0 can be best solved using the zero product property.
