Ben and winston ade both selling cookie dough for a fundraiser. Although ben has already sold 10tubs, Winston
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

On the first day, Ben (B) starts with 10 tubs and Winston (W) starts with 0 tubs.

After the first day, Ben sells 8 tubs per day while Winston sells 9 tubs per day.

Therefore we can write the following equation:  (Where d = number of days)

B = 10 + 8d

W = 0 + 9d = 9d

We are told that eventually they will sell the same amount which means

B = W

This means we can say,

10 + 8d = 9d

If we subtract 8d from both sides we get

10 = d

Therefore it will take 10 days for them to sell the same amount of cookie dough.

The value of x is 0.24. Option C is correct. The frequency table is used to find the relative frequency.

<h3>What is a frequency table?</h3>

A frequency table is a collection of things with the number of times they appear in the table. f is used to signify frequency.

The given data from the table is;

The subgroup count of the column =  120

The total count = 500

x is the relative frequency

The relative frequency is found as;

\rm x = \frac{ subgroup \ count }{ total \ count } \\\\ x=\frac{120}{500} \\\\\ x = 0.24

Hence the value of x is 0.24. Option C is correct.

I can figure out how to break this down..
Reika [66]
\frac{ (\frac{2}{x} -1)}{ (\frac{1}{x} -1)}= \frac{( \frac{2-x}{x})}{( \frac{1-x}{x})} = \frac{2-x}{1-x}.  Now the answers on your paper do not have this choice, but if you think about it, (2-x)=-1(x-2) and (1-x)=-1(x-1).  This means that when you have (2-x)/(1-x), this also equals to (x-2)/(x-1), since the -1's cancel out.  So, the answer is D.

1: No, 10/12 Simplified is 5/6, and 15/30 simplified is 1/2

2: Yes, 1/5 / 3/5 Simplified is 1/3, and 1/4 / 3/4 simplified is 1/3

3: 60 words, You do 300 divided by 5, and you get 60 per minute

4: 240 words, You take the 60 per minute, and you multiply is by 4.

5: 24 doughnuts, 20x3 is 60 minutes. So, 12 doughnuts in one hour. Multiply is by 2, and you get 24 doughnuts per hour.

6: Walmart, To find out how much it costs, you so 1.25 / 5, and 0.80 / 2. So, Walmart is 0.25 per pack, and Ingles is 0.40 per pack. So, you can automatically tell that Walmart is cheaper, meaning the better buy.
