Answer:

the rate of change of velocity with time is called acceleration.

it can also be defined as the increase in velocity per second.

The S.I. unit of acceleration is meter per second square or ms−2.

formula; a = Δv / Δt

where a is acceleration,

Δv is the change in velocity,

and Δt is the amount of time it took for that change to occur.

Steroid hormones have a longer half-life than peptide hormones because __________. (a) they ride on carrier proteins in the bloo
saw5 [17]

The answers are A, B, & C. Steroid hormones have a longer half-life than peptide hormones because steroid hormones ride on carrier proteins in the blood. In other words, they are bound to protein carriers that transport molecules across the membrane. They can also be stored temporarily in the adipose tissue. And also, steroid hormones are sent to the nucleus where it regulates transcription while peptides don’t require this process. This is the reason why the effects of steroid hormones are exerted more slowly than peptides.

Explain the term "molecular clock" and describe the types of measurements and comparisons that can be made with this type of clo
arsen [322]

Answer:

In biology, a molecular clock can be described as a method to determine the time for the divergence of species which occurred by the process of evolution.

Explanation:

The mutation rates of different molecules are used in this method. The mutation rates for DNA sequences and amino acid sequences are usually considered. The molecular clock can be used to compare and estimate the splitting of a lineage. For example, by this method, one can interpret when the chimpanzees and humans diverged from each other.

Hope this helped!

After an open reduction and internal fixation of a fractured hip, the nurse is helping a client to get out of bed into a chair.
PIT_PIT [208]
I think the answer would be: instruct the client to bear most of the weight on the unaffected leg and pivot to the chair.

Hip is a complex and thin bone. Repairing it will be harder than big bones and it will be easier to break again. The client should try to not burden the fractured bone to reduce the risk. At least you need to give the bone time to heal themselves.
