Sum = n/2[2a + (n - 1)d] where a = first term, n = number of terms and d = common difference

(a) 30/2(2 x 5 + (30 - 1) x d) = 1455
10 + 29d = 1455 / 15
29d = 97 - 10
d = 87 / 29 = 3

(b) 7/2(2 x 9 + (7 - 1)d) = 0
18 + 6d = 0
6d = -18
d = -3

Answer:

  x = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

You want ...

  f(x) = g(x)

  -2x -8 = 4x -2

  -6 = 6x . . . . . . . . . . add 2x +2

  -1 = x . . . . . . . . . . divide by 6

C.) 4. Solve the system of equations
raketka [301]
You can set them equal to each other so -3x+4=4x-10 and then you add 3x and 10 on both sides and get7x=14 and then divided both sides by 7 and get x = 2 and check by plugging in and you get -2 for y on both so solution is x=2

What is the asnwer worked out to m-9=-13
Natalija [7]
Thus is a linear equation, so you want to isolate m so you can compare the variable m to a constant.

You begin by getting rid of -9 by adding 9 (its opposite) since a negative plus a positive can me zero. Then you add 9 to (-13) which is the same as 13-9 but with a negative value, so you get -4.

The answer is -4
