Answer:

Immerse burned area in cool water.

But it doesn't mean you should apply very cold water/ ice cold water on the burn. Extreme cold applied to a burn can further damage the tissue.

2.Ice and very cold water can actually irritate your burn area more. Ice may even cause a cold burn if used improperly
