To be honest the unique reason is to obtain the X answer and then substitute x to multiply each two parts
first multiply -4 by the parentesis side and then subtract -4x to obtain 6x and the divide 12 by 6 to get x=2

Explain the effects of climate change on the diversity of plants
Katarina [22]

• Climate change increases local plant species richness, at least temporarily

• Empirical and modeled data suggest an increase of ∼5% per decade in cool regions

• Climatic perturbation is identified as a process driving biodiversity accrual

• Uneven global coverage of field data could be obscuring other climatic effects

A contract between a manufacturer and a consumer of light bulbs specifies that the mean lifetime of the bulbs must be at least 1
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

Follows are the solution to the given points:

Step-by-step explanation:

In point a:

In this sense, describe what type of error I will be.

Type I error: to conclude that perhaps the mean bulb life would be less than three hours when it becomes (at least) 3 hours.

In point b:

Describe throughout this context what the Type II error becomes.

An error of type II: never assuming that its bulbs' mean lifetime is much less than 3 hours. three hours at least

In point c:

What error — type I and type II — would further impact the interaction between the manufacturer and the customer?

A Type II error is probably further problematic because it means that even the buyer will buy bulbs that do not last long.

a piece of ribbon that is 2/3 of a yard long is to be cut into 1/12 yard pieces. How many pieces will there be?
Darina [25.2K]
Length of the original ribbon = 2/3 yard
Length of the ribbon in which the actual ribbon has to be cut = 1/12 yards
The above information's are already given in the question. It is required to find the number of pieces that the ribbon can be cut with the length that is already mentioned.
Then
Number of pieces that will be there = (2/3)/(1/12)
                                                         = (2 * 12)/3
                                                         = 24/3
                                                         = 8
So the actual ribbon can be cut into 8 pieces and each piece will have a length of 1/12 yards. Hopefully the procedure for doing this problem is clear to you. this is the easiest method for attempting these kind of problems.
