No one is demanding your time for the sake of an economy but you do have to fill your time in a variety of ways as the deed need doing demands.

The same in some farming areas where people are mostly self sufficient or off grid people living off the land. Time there is a thing that passes without feeling like your spinning around in a squirrel cage selling your life one hour at a time.

People have to choose where they want to live and how they want to live with the amount of time fate and good fortune has blessed them with.
