So there's 2 types of depreciation you often will come across, one is compound and one is simple.

For compound : A=P(1-i)^n

For simple A=P(1-in)

NOTE: A is amount after depreciation, P is amount before depreciation, n is number of years and i is the rate of depreciation.

Now if your depreciation is compound then:

A=P(1-i)^n

A=28000(1- 0.09)^1

A= 25480

If it's simple depreciation

A=P(1-in)

A= 28000(1- 0.09x1)

A= 25480

Now these are your solutions

Answer:

$25,480

Step-by-step explanation:

9% of 28,000 is 2,520. "Depreciates" means we must subtract. When we subtract this number from the initial value of the car which is 28,000 we get 25,480, which would be how much the car is worth after one year.

hope this helps!

Which equation models the problem below if c represents the number of puppies whose eyes are closed?
True [87]
First you must take into account the variable that is being defined for this case:
 c = represents the number of puppies whose eyes are closed.
 We can then write the following equation:
 15 = 11 + c
 Rewriting the equation:
 11 + c = 15
 Clearing c:
 c = 15-11
 c = 4
 4 puppies have their eyes closed
 Answer:
 11 + c = 15
 4 puppies have their eyes closed

A company that manufactures vehicle trailers estimates that the monthly profit for selling its midsize trailer is represented by
lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

The answer is below

Step-by-step explanation:

The profit equation is given by:

p(t)= -25t³+625t²-2500t

The maximum profit is the maximum profit that can be gotten from selling t trailers. The maximum profit is at point p'(t) = 0. Hence:

p'(t) = -75t² + 1250t - 2500

-75t² + 1250t - 2500 = 0

t = 2.3 and t = 14.3

Therefore t = 3 trailers and t = 15 trailers

p(15) = -25(15³) + 625(15²) - 2500(15) = 18750

Therefore the company makes a maximum profit of approximately $18750 when it sells approximately 15 trailers.
