x^3y^2\left(\dfrac{x^2 y^3 z^m}{z^{-5}}\right)=x^5y^5z\\\\
x^5y^5z^{m+5}=x^5y^5z\\\\
m+5=1\\\\
\boxed{m=-4}

Step One

Bring z^(-5) to the numerator.

x^3y^2(x^2 y^3 z^(m + 5)) = x^5 * 5y^5 * z

Step Two

Remove the brackets on the left

x^(3 + 2) * y ^ (2 + 3) * z^(m + 5) = x^5 * y^5 * z

x^5 * y^5  * z^(m + 5) = x^5 * y^5 * z                     Divide by x^5 * y^5

z ^(m + 5) = z^1                                       Since the bases are the same, you can equate the powers.

m + 5 = 1                                                 Subtract 5

m = 1 - 5

m = - 4     <<<< Answer

Solve the following differential equations using Laplace transforms. Assume zero initial conditions and that the forcing functio
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

(A) X(S)=\frac{1.25}{S^2+4}

(B) X(S)=\frac{0.2941}{S}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find the Laplace transform

(a) x(t) + 7 x(t) = 5 cos2t

Taking Laplace of both side

X(X)+7X(S)=5\times \frac{2}{S^2+4}

8X(S)=\frac{10}{S^2+4}

X(S)=\frac{1.25}{S^2+4}

(B) x(t)+8x(t)+25x(t)=10u(t)

Taking Laplace transform of both side

X(S)+8X(S)+25X(S)=10\times \frac{1}{S}

34X(S)=\frac{10}{S}

X(S)=\frac{0.2941}{S}
