Ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika ay nakaugalian nan g mga Pilipino tuwing buwan ng Agosto. Sa BUwan na ito nagkakaroon ng ibat-ibang tema may kinalaman sa ating Wikang Pambansa, Katutubong Wika, Ibat-ibang Wika, at mga Sinusong Wika.Bunsod sa pagdiriwang na ito, binibigyan ng kahalagahan ang pagtatalaga ng Wikang Filipino bilang Ating Wikang Pambansa. Sinasariwa natin ang kasarinlan ng pagkakaroon ng isang buo at sariling wika bilang impluwensya sa ibat-ibang lugar, tao at kahalagahan sa ating kultura. Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay may kaakibat na gawain na kailangan ng partisipasyon ng mga mamamayang Pilipino bilang pasasalamat kay dating Pangulong Manuel L. Quezon bilang Ama ng Wikang Pambansa.
