Which policy is illustrated by the changes in troop levels displayed on the graph between 1968 and 1972?.
Evgen [1.6K]

The policy that explains why troop levels were changing from 1968 to 1972 is Vietnamization.

What was Vietnamization?

This was a policy by the U.S. government under President Nixon that saw the gradual reduction of troops in Vietnam.

At the same time that American troops were withdrawn, South Vietnamese soldiers were given increased American military aid to help them fight the Vietnam War on their own.
