The formula for surface area of a triangular prism is
SA = 2(L)(W) + 2(W)(H) + 2(H)(L) * 1/2

SA = 2(3)(2) + 2(2)(4) + 2(4)(3) * 1/2
SA = 12 + 16 + 24 * 1/2
SA = 52 *1/2
SA= 26sq in

Experts believe that 70% of adults in the United States believe it is more enjoyable to be married than single. An ABC News Poll
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

Due to;

<u>Sampling</u> <u>variability</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we have;

The percentage adults experts believe are convinced that it is more enjoyable to be married than single = 70%

The number of adults in the sample of the survey = 1,501 adults

The number of adults that responded that it is more enjoyable to be married than single = 1,126

According to the central limit theorem, the differences in the two samples and the small sizes of the samples compared to the population, the sample means is different from the population mean, therefore, the sample proportion that respond that it is more enjoyable to be married from the new sample will be different from the old sample due sampling variability because as the sample size is so small compared to the population, some samples can contain more of one category in the population than other samples leading to varying proportion

Zielflug [23.3K]

Answer:

x = -7

Step-by-step explanation:

5-x=12

To solve for x, you must first make the equation equal to x (to make x alone on one side).

5 - x = 12

-5         -5

-x = 7

An airline promotion to business travelers is based on the assumption that two-thirds of business travelers use a laptop compute
skad [1K]

Answer:

a

  The null hypothesis is  H_o  :  p =  0.67

   The alternative hypothesis is  H_a : p \ne 0.67

b

 The sample proportion is \^ p  =  0.65

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The sample size is  n =  546

      The number of people that use a laptop overnight is  k = 355

    The population proportion is  p =  \frac{2}{3}  =  0.67

   Generally

  The null hypothesis is  H_o  :  p =  0.67

   The alternative hypothesis is  H_a : p \ne 0.67

Gnerally the sample proportion is mathematically represented as

        \^ p  =  \frac{ k}{n}

=>     \^ p  =  \frac{ 355}{546}

=>     \^ p  =  0.65
