The two numbers in each column have to add to 23
So under 7 you write 16, above 4 you write 19, etc

The rule will say x + y = 23

Answer:

y = -16x + 23

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 7, 11, 14

y =  4, 18

x = 7, 19, 11 , 5, 14

23-7 = 16  and  23-11 = 12  and  23-14 = 9

y = 14, 4, 12, 18, 9

therefore

y = m x + c

y - 16 =  -16 (x + x1)

y - 16 = -16x + 7)

y -16 + 16   =  -16x + 7+16

y = -16x + 23

which proves y coordinate rests on 23 toys when x = 0.

Any number sentence or equation could be done, but this sentence is an equation of the line and represents.x + y on the graph.

If MH = 18cm and HA = 29cm, what is MA?
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

<h2>The leg MA measures 22.7 centimeters.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming that's about a right triangle, the image attached shows a representation of this problem.

We use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the missing leg, which we are gonna call y

29^{2} =18^{2}+y^{2}\\y^{2}=29^{2}-18^{2}\\y=\sqrt{841 - 324}  \approx 22.7 \ cm

Therefore, the leg MA measures 22.7 centimeters.

Select the two values of x that are roots of this equation.<br> 2x2 + 11x+15= 0
USPshnik [31]

Answer:

The two values of x are -2.5 and -3

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

2x^{2}+11x+15=0

The formula to solve a quadratic equation of the form ax^{2} +bx+c=0 is equal to

x=\frac{-b(+/-)\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}} {2a}

in this problem we have

a=2\\b=11\\c=15

substitute in the formula

x=\frac{-11(+/-)\sqrt{11^{2}-4(2)(15)}} {2(2)}

x=\frac{-11(+/-)\sqrt{1}} {4}

x=\frac{-11(+/-)1} {4}

x_1=\frac{-11(+)1} {4}=-2.5

x_2=\frac{-11(-)1} {4}=-3

therefore

The two values of x are -2.5 and -3

Xavier is going to use a computer at an internet cafe. The cafe charges an initial fee to use the computer and then an additiona
Bad White [126]

Answer: C(t) = 0.4t + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let t represent the total number of minutes of using a computer at the internet cafe.

The cafe charges an initial fee to use the computer and then an additional price per minute of usage. The initial charge to use the computers is $4 and the total charge would be $6 for 5 minutes of use. This is expressed as

5t + 4 = 6

5t = 6 - 4 = 2

t = 2/5 = 0.4

It means that the charge per minute would be $0.4

Therefore, the equation for the function C(t), representing the total cost of using a computer for t minutes at the internet cafe is

C(t) = 0.4t + 4
