Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

I'm not sure what rules you're talking about.

I know that atoms have mass.

Air definitely has atoms in it. If you're talking about the atmosphere, mostly nitrogen.

Since atoms have mass, and the air has atoms, the air has mass.

What evolutionary mechanisms might account for the origin and persistence of cell-to-cell signaling systems in prokaryotes?
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

Quorum sensing.

Explanation:

Quorum sensing may be defined as the phenomena by which the bacteria can detect the specific stimuli and respond towards the cell population density. This process helps in coordinating gene expression.

Quorum sensing is used in prokaryotes for the cell to cell signalling and cell communication as well. The main evolution of quorum sensing in bacteria was to relay the information and helps in cell signalling by releasing the specific toxins. From the evolutionary point, the organism that are capable of quorum sensing would survive more in their environment, adapt well in their environment.

Thus, the answer is quorum sensing.

Explain the mechanism of what happen to the bag the terms, concerning osmosis, you have learned in class.
DochEvi [55]
Osmosis is a process where solvent of a solution can move past a semipermeable membrane. In this case, the solvent would be water and solute would be glucose. The dialysis bag will act as the semipermeable membrane.

6. If you put sugar in the dialysis bag, then the osmotic pressure of solution in dialysis bag will be higher than the distilled water. This will attract the solvent(water) from the beaker, makes more water comes into the dialysis bag than leaving it. This will cause the bag to grow bigger as time pass.

7. To reverse the process, you need to make the distilled water osmotic pressure higher than the dialysis bag. This can be done by adding sugar to the beaker until its concentration is higher than dialysis bag. If the beaker has more sugar, the water from dialysis bag will be pulled so the bag will become smaller.
