Answer:

Explanation:

The ONE major difference between Wood’s and Bailyn’s historical interpretations of why the American colonies rebelled against the British is:

According to Wood, the American colonies rebelled and revolted out of reasoned principle. They had the mindset that they were "born heirs of freedom" and that freedom is their everyday life. While, according to Bailyn, the colonies rebelled and revolted due to the rise of conspirators who stood against their freedom.

Explanation:

Wood's and Bailey's historical interpretations of why the American colonies rebelled against the British can be seen from the excerpt. It's evident that their interpretations differ.

Wood revealed that the Americans didn't rebel due to suffering but due to a "reasoned principle". Whereas, Bailey interpreted it to be that the conspirators against the liberty propelled the revolt.

The impact of byzantine empire collapse
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:The Byzantine Empire experienced several cycles of growth and decay over the course of nearly a thousand years, including major losses during the Arab conquests of the 7th century. However, modern historians generally agree that the start of the empire's final decline began in the 11th century[citation needed].

In the 11th century the empire experienced a major catastrophe in which most of its heartland territory in Anatolia was lost to the Seljuk Turks following the Battle of Manzikert and ensuing civil war. At the same time, the empire lost its last territory in Italy to the Norman Kingdom of Sicily and faced repeated attacks on its territory in the Balkans. These events created the context for emperor Alexios I Komnenos to call to the west for help, which led to the First Crusade. However, economic concessions to the Italian Republics of Venice and Genoa weakened the empire's control over its own finances, especially from the 13th century onward, while tensions with the West led to the Sack of Constantinople by the forces of the Fourth Crusade in 1204 and the dismemberment of the empire.

Although a number of small Byzantine successor states survived and eventually reclaimed Constantinople in 1261, the empire had been severely weakened. In the longer term, the rise of Turkish power in Anatolia eventually gave rise to the Ottoman Empire which rapidly conquered the former Byzantine heartland over the course of the 14th and 15th centuries, culminating in the Fall of Constantinople to the army of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror in 1453.

What is the main difference between a capitalist society like the US and socialist society like Canada?
babymother [125]

I don't think your premise is quite correct.

I live in Canada. We have 2 main stock exchanges, one of which is so speculative that it is difficult to buy the stocks listed on that board in the United States. But we in Canada think that we should have an exchange like that because it gets companies started.

What makes people think that we are socialistic is our health care system. In 1967 our then prime minister, Lester Pearson, made a choice. He wanted to downsize the armed forces and use it only for peace keeping purposes. In his mind, we would never again take the losses we took in WWI. Our population is far too small to sustain the losses we did. That notion (which was written into law) rightly won him the Nobel Peace Prize.

Instead, he wanted to to put money into (particularly) healthcare and somewhat into education.

Most Canadians think that was a good plan. We receive care for Cancer that it is second to none. Ask any family in the states who has a relative suffering from any form of Cancer. See how many didn't take out a second mortgage to help that family member.

You have to understand that we made a choice. It didn't make us socialistic. It made our government concerned for its citizens.
