Solve the question in the picture. I know that there is an equation where you'll get root 25 - x^2 plus root 32 - x^2 equals 7,

but there has to be a better way.

Answer:

CM = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

set CM=x and BM=y       AM= 7-y

right triangle BMC: x² = 5² - y² = 25 - y²   ... (1)

right triangle AMC: x² = (4√2)² - (7-y)² = 32 - 49 +14y - y² = -17 + 14y -y² ...(2)

(1)-(2): 0 = 42 - 14y

14y = 42

y (BM) = 3

x² (CM²) = 25 - 3² = 16

x (CM) = 4  (height is positive)

Use the pythagorean Theorem to prove the three sides of the triangle are the three sides of a right triangle. Show all of your w
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

2^{2} + (2\sqrt{3}) ^{2} = 4 + 4 * 3 = 16 = 4^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The Pythagorean Theorem states that the two shorter sides of a right triangle squared and added together will equal the longest side (hypotenuse) of the right triangle squared. The longest side of this right triangle is 4, 4 squared is 16. The two shorter sides of the right triangle are 2 and 2\sqrt{3}, squared individually would be 4 and 12, and added together they also equal 16. These sides are a valid input for the Pythagorean Theorem, so these three sides are the sides of a right triangle. 2 and 2\sqrt{3} being the legs of the right triangle, and 4 being the hypotenuse.

Match the number with its opposite. Match Term Definition 9.2 A) 2.9 −2.9 B) −4.1 −1.4 C) −9.2 4.1 D) 1.4
jenyasd209 [6]

We have these opposite pairs

  • 9.2 and -9.2
  • 2.9 and -2.9
  • 1.4 and -1.4
  • 4.1 and -4.1

So all we're doing is matching each positive number with its negative version. In terms of a visual, the opposite of a number is mirrored over 0 on the number line. So for instance, the opposite of 2 is -2, with each being two units away from 0 on the number line.

Can someone explain to me how to turn a fraction into a decimal..? And a decimal into a fraction? Be specific please! I have a t
cricket20 [7]
To turn a decimal into a fraction move the decimal point two spots over (Ex: 0.34=34%). To turn a fraction into a decimal get the denominator to 100 by multiplying both the top and bottom by whatever number needed (must both be multiplied by the same number) or divide to top number into the bottom number of you can’t multiply.
