The equation that satisfies the information provided is y=2.75x, therefore the coordinates to plot on your graph are as follows.

(1,2.75)
(6,16.50)
(10, 27.5)
(20,55)
(30,82.5)
(40,110)

The graph accordingly, can’t really get the whole graph in but hopefully you get the idea and you can use the coordinates above :)

navik [9.2K]

50%. students (in percent) who passed the second exam also passed the first exam.

Let's imagine that there are 100 kids in the teacher's class. We know that 40 of them passed BOTH tests, and 80 passed the second test.

Because if they weren't, they wouldn't have passed the first test and consequently wouldn't have passed both, we can be sure that the group of students who passed BOTH tests is only made up of the 80 who passed the second test.

Thus, both tests were passed by 40 of the 80 pupils who passed the second one:

40/80 = 1/2 = 50%.

A curve has equation
y = x²(x - 2)
Work out the gradient of the curve at the point (3,9).
slava [35]

Answer:

y = x^2 (x - 2) = x^3 - 2 x^2

dy/dx = 3 x^2 - 4 x

At x = 3 dy/dx = 3 * 9 - 4 * 3 = 15 The slope (gradient) of the curve

Mia has n pairs of earrings. She receives 3 more pairs of earrings. Which expression represents the number of earrings Mia has n
kvv77 [185]
I believe the correct answer from the choices listed above is option D. The expression that would represent the number of earrings Mia has now would be n+3. It should be the sum of n earrings she originally had and the additional 3 earrings. Hope this answers the question.
