Age doesnt nessecerily have a huge factor on how much some one can lift. The factors that you should be focused on are the size of the 14 year old, does it hurt to lift it, how many reps is he/she doing. Ive seen 14 year olds that are really meaty and buff and ive seen some who dont really have strenth to them.

But if you want to hear my opinion I think that electronic devises do get in the way of communication between parents and children. We live in a day and age where most of us are glued to our screens and we never take time to get to know and bond with our parents.
