The event that is a relative chronology above is that C. The Reconstruction era began after the Civil War ended.

When the relative date of an event is given:

  • it means that it is given in relation to another event
  • it is the opposite of an absolute chronology where the date of the event is given.

By saying that the Reconstruction era started after the Civil War, the Reconstruction era is being relatively dated as the date is based the Civil War.

The other options are wrong because they all have a date attached which makes them absolute.

In conclusion, the relative date of the Reconstruction era is that it started after the Civil War.

What happened in Poland in 1989?
kondaur [170]

1989 was a year when Poland finally became a democratic, independent country. Soviet communism has fallen thanks to the negotiations between the communists and their opposition in Poland. In effect it was possible to make the first free election of the president at the end of 1990 (Lech Walesa was elected). Workers had a free right to form unions, but in the following years their significance and effectiveness decreased.

Officially the situation hasn't changed up to date, but most Polish people know that in spite of changing the political system, most of the pre-1989 politics are still in power, but it's not official. However many of their decisions are clearly showing that there's no place for fair democracy in Poland.
