All the angles inside a triangle add up to 180°.

(2x + 15) + (5x + 5) + x = 180
8x + 20 = 180
8x = 180 - 20
8x = 160
x = 160/8
x = 20
the question is asking what angle B is,
B = 2(20) + 15
B = 40 + 15
B = 55°

The real numbers $x$ and $y$ are such that \begin{align*} x + y &= 4, \\ x^2 + y^2 &= 22, \\ x^4 &= y^4 - 176 \sqrt{
tamaranim1 [39]

You get everything you need from factoring the last expression:

x^4-y^4=-176\sqrt7

The left side is a difference of squares, and we get another difference of squares upon factoring. We end up with

x^4-y^4=(x^2-y^2)(x^2+y^2)=(x-y)(x+y)(x^2+y^2)

Plug in everything you know and solve for x-y:

-176\sqrt7=(x-y)\cdot4\cdot22\implies x-y=\boxed{-2\sqrt7}

With a short time remaining in the day, a delivery driver has time to make deliveries at 4 locations among the 7 locations rema
omeli [17]

Answer:

35 different routes

Step-by-step explanation:

The problem of how many different routes are possible if a driver wants to make deliveries at 4 locations among 7 locations is a combination problem.

Combination problems are usually selection problems, of all or part of a set of options, without considering the order in which options are selected.

The number of combinations of n objects taken r at a time is: ⁿCᵣ

So, the number of ways the driver can make deliveries at 4 locations out of 7 locations of given by

⁷C₄ = 35 different ways.

Hence, 35 different routes are possible to make deliveries at 4 locations out of 7 locations.

Hope this Helps!!!

1. take away five from twelve times f. 2. one-half of the sum of k and six 3.x squared minus the sum of 5 4.the sum of the produ
77julia77 [94]

The expressions formed are,

  1. 12f -5
  2. (k+6)/2
  3. x²-x+5
  4. ab+3c
  5. 24xy+g

Formation of expressions in 1, 2 and 3:

In 1, twelve times f is, 12f

Taking away 5, it becomes (12f-5)

In 2, sum of k and 6 is, (k+6)

One-half of the above quantity is, (k+6)/2

In 3, sum of 5 with x is, (x+5)

Now, x squared minus the above expression indicates (x²-x+5)

Formation of expressions in 4 and 5:

In 4, product of a and b, is ab and 3 times c is 3c

Sum of the expressions evaluated in the previous statement = ab+3c

In 5, 24 times the product of x and y is, 24xy

Adding, g in the above computed expression, we get, 24xy+g
