2.- Supóngase que los diámetros de los tornillos fabricados por una compañía están distribuidos normalmente con una media de 0.2
Sergio [31]

Answer:

7.30167%

Step-by-step explanation:

Usando la fórmula de puntuación z

z = (x-μ) / σ, donde x es la puntuación bruta, μ es la media de la población y σ es la desviación estándar de la población

Para x <0.20 pulgadas

z = 0.20 - 0.25 / 0.02

z = -2.5

Valor de probabilidad de Z-Table:

P (x <0.20) = 0.0062097

Para x> 0.28 pulgadas

z = 0.28 - 0.20 / 0.02

z = 1.5

Valor de probabilidad de Z-Table:

P (x <0.28) = 0.93319

P (x> 0.28) = 1 - P (x <0.28) = 0.066807

La probabilidad de que se produzcan tornillos defectuosos cuando el tornillo se considera defectuoso si su diámetro es inferior a 0.20 pulgadas o superior a 0.28 pulgadas es

P (x <0.20) + P (x> 0.28)

= 0.0062097 + 0.066807

= 0.0730167

Conversión a porcentaje

= 0.0730167 × 100

= 7.30167%

El porcentaje de tornillos defectuosos producidos es

7.30167%

a survey conducted in a school showed that 65% of the students walked to school. The remaining students took buses to school. Th
Feliz [49]
I fear that there is an error copying your assignment.
65% of the students walked. Are all of the other students on buses? Are there both public buses AND private buses?
Assuming that you need to know BOTH kinds of buses, try this:

65% of the students walked, so since 100% - 65% = 35% then this means that 35% of the students were on buses.
Since we know that there are 360 more walkers than bus riders, then one equation we know is: 65% of S = 360 + 35% of S (let S = total # of students)
              .65 S     = 360 + .35 S
            - .35 S     =        - .35 S      Subtract .35 S from both sides
              .30  S    =  360                 Divide both sides by .30 (or .3)
                .30           .30
                      S = 1,200 so we know that this is the total number of students, but that is not what was asked.
They want to know how many are on buses and specifically how many are on public buses, if I read this correctly.
   Since the walkers = 65% of 1,2000 and we know of means TIMES, then
                                  .65 (1,200) =  780 walkers
1,200 total students minus 780 walkers = 420 bus riders

Now, if there is not a misprint and we really have to figure out the public bus riders as compared to the private bus riders, then remember the ratio from above in the question: 4 bus: 3 public buses
Now if I read this right, that means that 3/4ths of the bus riders were on public buses
so 3/4 of 420 means 3/4 times 420 = 3 times 105 = 315 public bus riders (which coincidentally leaves 105 private bus riders, but since they are private we don't know much about them. Ha-Ha..... I made a lame joke.)

So your answer is 315 public bus riders

Determine if b is a linear combination of a1 a2, and a3. a1 = [ 1 -2 0 ], a2 = [ 0 1 3 ], a3 = [ 6 -6 18 ], b = [ 2 -2 6 ] Choos
marysya [2.9K]

Answer: Vector b is not a linear combination

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all we put the vectors in terms of different variables, such as:

a1(1,-2,0)=(a,-2a,0);

a2(0,1,3)=(0,b,3b);

a3(6,-6,18)=(6c,-6c,18c);

To know that a vector is a linear combination we need to express it like a sum of other different vectors.

(2,-2,6)=(a,-2a,0)+(0,b,3b)+(6c,-6c,18c)

(2,-2,6)=(a+0+6c,-2a+b-6c,0+3b+18c)

We express this sum like a system of equations.

a+6c=2

-2a+b-6c=-2

3b+18c=6

We solve this system of equations and we can note that the system don't have a solution, so the vector b is not a linear combination of a1, a2, and a3.
