It is a process in which the genetic information encoded in an mRNA is converted into protein in the ribosome. Transcription occurs in the nucleus and transcription is the process by which a DNA molecule is copied into an mRNA. This takes place in the nucleus. After transcription, the mRNA produced is transported from the nucleus to the ribosome where translation occurs.
