Bear with my working out lol,

8x3 = 24in^2
9x12 = 108in^2
6x7 = 42in^2
(11x4) / 2 = 22in^2

Total = 196in^2

Try that, I couldn’t tell where the tip on the triangle fell at. So it could be wrong but that is what I got and what I would put :)

Answer:

  198 in²

Step-by-step explanation:

The dashed lines in the attached figure show how this can be divided into rectangles and a triangle. The area of each rectangle is the product of its length and width. The area of the triangle is half the product of its base and height.

Working left-to-right, the areas of the four partitions total ...

  (7×6) +(9×9) +(3×17) +1/2(4×(5+7))

  = 42 +81 +51 +24

  = 198 . . . . square inches

The diagonals of rhombus fghj intersect at point k. if side gh is equal to 3x - 10 and side jh is equal to 6x - 19, find x
exis [7]
A rhombus is a square but turned so it looks like a diamond. This means all the sides are equal. With this information we can build an equation to solve for x.

3x - 10 = 6x - 19

1) Subtract 3x from both sides.

-10 = 3x - 19

2) Add 19 to both sides.

9 = 3x

3) Divide both sides by 3.

3 = x

x =3.

When you bring something up or move something down, you have to multiply the exponent by -1. So in this case, you are bringing up the exponent. Multiply 5 by -1 and your answer should be x^5/1.

f(x) = x2 – 3x – 2 is shifted 4 units right. The result is g(x). What is g(x)?g(x) = (x + 4)2 – 3x – 2 B. g(x) = (x + 4)2 – 3(x
arlik [135]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

Choice C

Discussion:

We interrupt this Question by a special commercial announcement..... Consider the simpler case of f(x) = x^2. If we shifted this curve 4 units to the right, then the point x is mapped to x-4.  (f(0) = 0 on the original curve; now f(x-4) = 0 when x =4. So shifting to the right replaces x by x-4.) Now back to our regular TV programming....

Shifting f(x) = x^2 -3x - 2 four units to the right produces

g(x) = f(x-4) = (x-4)^2 -3(x-4) -2

This is choice C.

Thank you,

MrB
