Answer:

A) 143

B) 13.79

C) 14

Step-by-step explanation:

Frances can complete 91 oil changes in 7 days.

In 1 day, Frances can complete 91/7 = 13 oil changes.

In 11 days, Frances can complete 13 × 11 = 143 oil changes.

At the market, 5 light bulbs cost $9.85.

1 light bulb costs 9.85/5 =  $1.97.

7 light bulbs cost 1.97 × 7 = $13.79.

Henry can read 5.25 pages in 3 hours.

Henry can read 5.25/3 = 1.75 pages in 1 hour.

In 8 hours, Henry can read 1.75 × 8 = 14 pages.

Answer: S = 50W + 75

Step-by-step explanation:

I got to this answer by a bit of trial and error.

I first noticed that the relationship between the balance in the savings account from week to week was increasing by 50.

But when I tried W = S + 50, that did not work at all because when I plug in 125 for S, I should get 1 for W, but instead I get 175. So I realized I had something backwards.

I then tried listing the relationship as ordered pairs of (W, S).

For example I did (1, 125), (2, 175), (3, 275) and so on. So I thought of S like y and W like x where S is a function of W. I used the equation y = mx +b or S=mW + b as an outline.  I figured that W would have to be multiplied by 50 to get that jump between the numbers in the S column. But I could not do S=50W + 125 because if W = 1, S = 175 when S should equal 125. So I subtracted 50 from the 125 and got 75.  So my final equation was S=50W+75. If you test it with the ordered pairs listed above, you will see that the equation checks out. Try it yourself! I hope this was helpful in some way. Good luck!

Solve for x please 2/3 x+1 =27
romanna [79]

2/3 x + 1 = 27

subtract 1 from each side

2/3 x = 26

multiply by 3/2

3/2 * 2/3 x = 26 * 3/2

x = 39

When you divide a whole number by fraction with a numerator of one explain how you can find the quotient
MariettaO [177]
In this item, we are asked for the methodology to arriving the answer when the whole number is divided by a fraction with 1 as a numerator. If example we have the whole number as 4 and the fraction with 1 as numerator is 1/2, the division would become, 4/(1/2). We multiply the whole number by the reciprocal of the given fraction which then becomes, 4(2/1). The final answer would be 12.
