Gang violence would cause the government to lose money mainly in the areas of FIGHTING CRIME and REHABILITATION. Fighting crime requires numerous resources that can prove to be costly. Human resources such as officers, lawyer, detective and forensic specialist are necessary to combat crime. Employing and equipping these individuals can be quite costly. Rehabilitation involves housing offenders in jail and developing programs for inmates will cause any government to lose funding.
