Answer:

1 hour = 3,600 seconds

1 km = 1,000 meters

75 km/hour = (75,000/3,600) m/s =  20-5/6 m/s

The average speed of the bus while it slows down is

                                   (1/2)(20-5/6 + 0) = 10-5/12 m/s .

Traveling at an average of 10-5/12 m/s for 21 seconds,

the bus covers

                         (10-5/12) x (21) =  218.75 meters .

Elodia [21]

The radio waves travels between the two boxes and they were travelling through air,

  • Box B captures, amplifies and demodulates radio waves.
  • Box A modulates, amplifies and send out radio waves.

<h3>What are radio waves?</h3>
  • Radio waves are the type of radiation from the electromagnetic spectrum.
  • The radio waves can be used in communication technologies like computer, phones, radios , etc..
  • Radio waves have lower frequencies but longer wavelength.
  • These devices will get signal and then it transmit as mechanical waves through sound.

In that way, the radio waves from box A to B through air, the box A will gets the signal, and then modulates, amplifies and then it send out radio waves. Through the air, Box B will captures, amplifies and demodulates radio waves.

Calculate the approximate force on a square meter (1.00 m3) of sail, given the horizontal velocity of the wind is 6.00 m/s paral
KiRa [710]

Answer:

The force exerted on square meter of cubic sail is F = 15.3 N

Explanation:

Given:-

- The face area of cubic sail, A = 1 m^2

- The velocity at frontal face, v1 = 6.0 m/s

- The velocity at back face, v2 = 3.5 m/s

- The density of air. ρ = 1.29 kg/m^3

Find:-

Calculate the approximate force on a square meter (1.00 m3) of sail

Solution:-

- We will apply the Bernoulli's equation to the flow of air around the cubic sail. Assuming that elevation changes are negligible. The constant elevation Bernoulli's equation is:

                           P1 + ρ*v1^2 / 2 = P2 + ρ*v2^2 / 2

- The force (F) applied by any fluid is given by:

                           F = ( P2 - P1 )*A

- Re-arranging bernoulli's expression:

                          P2 - P1 = ρ/ 2 [ v2^2 - v1^2 ]

- Multiple the equation by area A:

                          A*[P2 - P1] = A*ρ/ 2 [ v1^2 - v2^2 ]

                          F = A*ρ/ 2 [ v1^2 - v2^2 ]

- Plug in the values:

                         F = (1)*(1.29/2)*[ 6^2 - 3.5^2 ]

                         F = 15.3 N

Two speakers C &amp; D are driven in step at 600 Hz by the same audio oscillator. these speakers both start out at 5.0 m from th
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

option B

Explanation:

given,

frequency of the speaker = 600 Hz

speed of sound = 340 m/s

wavelength = ?

\lambda = \dfrac{v}{f}

\lambda = \dfrac{340}{600}

\lambda = 0.567 m

for second destructive interference,

the path difference,

d =(2k-1)\dfrac{\lambda}{2}

k = 2

d =(2\times 2-1)\dfrac{\lambda}{2}

d =\dfrac{3\lambda}{2}

d =\dfrac{3\times 0.567}{2}

d = 0.86 m

the correct answer is option B
