Why did the reciprocal trade agreements act replace the smoot hawley act?

Social Studies
1 answer:
9966 [12]2 years ago
8 0
The Smoot-Hawley Act increased tariffs on foreign imports to the U.S. by about 20%. At least 25 countries responded by increasing their own tariffs on American goods. Global trade plummeted, contributing to the ill effects of the Great Depression.

The reciprocal trade agreement act not only give President Franklin D. Roosevelt the authority to adjust tariff rates, but also the power to negotiate bilateral trade agreements without receiving prior congressional approval.

Hope it helps!

depends on what the red cow is. For example, if the red cow was Bb and dominant black bull is Bb then the percentage of offspring that will be black in color is 75%. The Minnesota Twins, a professional baseball team, wanted to develop creative ways to boost sagging attendance at their ball gam
Mars2501 [29]

Answer: Focus groups

Explanation:

A focus group involves a gathering of people whom are deliberately selected to take part in a discussion intended to know their opinion regarding certain topics or area of interest. Such discussions are usually held in environments that are non-threatening. A focus group encourages members to influence and interact with each other during the consideration and discussion of ideas. In this scenario, in order to increase the attendance during games, a moderator was hired to lead informal discussions with about 6 to 19 fans in order to know what they like and dislike about the baseball team.
